Hmmmm...MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!

He drove me crazy. He was one ball of lust and revenge and she was a ball of lust and door mat. I mean it was ALL, COMPLETELY his fault with what happened 7 years ago and she took him back so fast. I mean my gosh, he got all mad because he saw a picture of the heroine hugging a friend and instead of questioning why she was doing that, he goes and leaves her and starts sleeping around immediately and does not come back until her father threatens him. Then at the end it is all "you cannot blackmail him without him wanting to get blackmailed". I never saw that. He did not want to be with her when they first met up again and that was in his inner monologue so where do they get that thought from? It was rushed at the end and I definitely would not forgive him and if I did, it would not be within 2 days. I mean, come on, he CHEATED on you. Who cares if he thought you were doing it first, where was his proof? A picture of a hug with a friend? I mean, she would not sleep with the hero and she LOVED him? And where is the heroine's pride? He did not think much of her or her love for him if he believed a stupid picture instead of talking to her. Good Gosh!! I wish I could rant forever on the injustice done to her but it would be in vain seeing how she took him back after all those years of her living through hell and seeing him repeatedly with women.

I am not one to write reviews but I just can't let someone else do the same mistake I did. The leading lady of this book is by far the most stupidest girl I have ever had the disgrace to read about not to mention the leading man. 7 years ago Gaston saw a picture of Elana hugging another man and immediately assumes the worst dumps her without telling her and starts whoring around. For the next 7 years she neglects her health, her appearance, her personal life, only caring about her research all while her "man" is living his bachelor life. She hasn't even gone on date with another man pretty much because she can't over Gaston. Now I'm not saying she should be whoring around but would it hurt to at least go on a date? And then he waltzes back into her life and now all of the sudden she sees how neglected she has become and how her life has had no color. She keeps telling herself that she not going to fall for his trap yet every time he kisses her she pretty much melts. How about grow a backbone!?! There are just so many things wrong with this book that I'll be here all night if I typed it all up. If I could I would give it a negative 5!

3 1/2 stars, Gaston and Elana were in love and had plans for the future till Gaston was shown picture of Elana and another man. Elana couldn't have been happier she was with the man she loved till he left and she saw news paper pictures of him and other woman. Gaston and Elana haven't been the same seven years have gone buy since they broke up. Gaston has focussed on work and woman, woman who will never compare to Elana. Elana has thrown herself into her research and her schooling and hasn't gotten over Gaston. Now Gaston is being forced back into Elana's life because of a book that his sick dad wants at all cost and the book is owned by Elana's dad. Gaston will get the book back at any cost, he just never thought his heart would get involved. Elena is stunned to see Gaston again after all these years and quickly finds out her feels haven't ever changed. This was a pretty good book, It was a very light and quick read but I enjoyed myself. I wish That Elana had made Gaston and her father suffer more but overall I really enjoyed The Spanish Tycoon's Temptress.

Q.You are very prolific. What’s your secret for getting so much work done?


A. My secret is consistency. Every day, I sit in front of my laptop and I write. I may only write 200 words (on a bad day) or 3000 words (on a good day) but there is never a day that goes by when I don’t write.


Q. Who are some of your favorite authors?


A. I fell in love with reading at the age of fourteen. I started the series Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews. That series sparked this insatiable need to read more. Over time, I’ve read and enjoyed books by: Nora Roberts, Stephen King, James Patterson, Sandra Brown, Jude Deveraux, And many more.


Q. Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?


A. With the increase of indie authors, there are gems everywhere. I’ve enjoyed books like The Body Departed by J.R. Rain and Divergent by Veronica Roth. I recently read The Edge to Never by J.A. Redmerski.


Q. From the looks of it, you have five series and several standalone books in different genres and you’re branching out into horror. Which genre do you enjoy the most?


A. So far, I’ve written in Romance, Mystery thrillers, Sci-Fi, Urban Paranormal, and supernatural horror. Each genre has fulfilled my need to dabble in categories across the board. I don’t have a favorite genre. I thrive in the elements of the story and the characters. I do have to admit, I love the adrenaline rush of writing a fast-paced fight scene.

In this second installment of the Vampire Biker Series we catch up with Dominic, who has returned from the bottom of the ocean after being trapped for two hundred years. But first, he must gain the trust of old enemies if he is to get close to Florin's lair. He finds himself joining forces with other supernatural beings, including the motorcycle gang, the Vypers. It is risky. Still, Dominic will never give up until he has reached the root of the betrayal that has cost him his love and his life. What he doesn't realize is that the Vypers need him as much as he needs them.

Of course, when you partner with your enemies you never know which way things will go. And so, Dominic is thrown off course. To further complicate matters, his path crosses with an important woman from his past... but she is changed, different in so many ways, and her memories seem to hold a different history than that which is embedded in Dominic's heart and mind. So, which memories are true? Moreover, what does this mean about Dominic's history and, more importantly, his future?

I love the character, Dominic! He still holds some old fashioned ways, and yet he wants to understand the time period in which he has been thrust into. And I love that he has taken to his motorcycle like a champ! This book, like the first in the series, is well written, exciting, and a page turner from start to finish! A well paced plot, with complimentary secondary characters, the story has the added element of effortless humor that is never contrived. A fantastic read! I can't wait to see what the author has in store for the next book!

Lost interest

I read the first book in this series and was intrigued. So I bought the second one. It just didn't do it for me.

I hate these serials the novelists are putting out there. I would rather read the whole book in one lot, instead of bits and pieces.

I am also not a fan of reincarnation. So this book lost me with the introduction of this element with the h. It is just MHO, and I am sure there are many readers who will love this style of book. It just isn't me.

Simple System explained in a simple manner

The concepts are pretty simple and straightforward. This is yet another "trade the pullbacks" system. The really nice thing about the book is that the other doesn't pretend it is anything other than it is. It is explained in a simple clear very short manner. There are only one or two examples but they do show enough for an experienced trader to extrapolate.

Unfortunately there are no examples of failed trades when following the system. However, most importantly there are rules described for determining risk/reward ratio. This means the author clearly recognizes the risk associated with the trades.

If you are looking for a simple system that is explained in a very few pages, this is a good book to start with.

Quick read. Rock solid. Answered a question that probably puzzles many traders.

No fluff. Quck read. Took me a whole 10 minutes to read, and another 10 minutes to set up a set of charts to explore the system.

With all that in mind...

The number one problem I have seen many traders I work with bump into - besides the mindset issues - is "which" trend do I follow. If you have been trading for sometime, you have probably noticed that there are a number of "trends" you can choose from, and sometimes it can get very frustrating. Especially if you use a trend from one time frame, and another time frame trend is what matters.

Alpha's Trend Trading system, gave me a HUGE breakthrough insight into what trend to follow. Using his system, it's easy to see for example the ONE hour trend is short (it is right now) but the 5 minute and 15 minute are LONG. So what do I do? I look for which time frame has a clear trend AND a decent set up - using his method.

BONUS POINTS: I had a question about using the system on a different charting system than the one Alpha suggests, within 2 hours I got a personal email from him. Solid gold. Good book and the author goes the extra mile. Pick it up, add what you learn to your toolbox, and enjoy the ride!

About the Author
As a kid Emma wanted to be an astronaut, or maybe Captain Janeway. Because she didn't really think her career choices through very well she ended up in an everyday geek job, crunching numbers and sighing over syntax. It seemed a long way from the stars and in an effort to escape Emma decided to get serious about her other passion. Writing.

Several years later and Emma has yet to walk on the moon or sit in the Captain's chair, but she is still writing. She scribbles stories in all sorts of genres, contemporary, paranormal, post-apocalyptic, historical, sci-fi...if she hasn't tried it yet she will before long. The only common theme is the romance. A hopeless romantic everything Emma writes has a love story in there somewhere.

She lives on the west coast of England with her very Greek husband and teenage kiddos. Apart from all things geek reading is her main hobby and she likes nothing better than getting home from a hard day at work and curling up with a book, though sometimes she gets home and writes one instead.

Waking Up Dead

Loved this zombie romance story. The zombies were unique and the romance was real.

Jackson was a lovely female lead. She kicked ass and took names. Though underneath her tough kick ass exterior there was a lot going on. I feel like in a lot of zombie/post-apocalyptic books that people are a little too normal. Everyone just kind of accepts the end of the world and moves on. In Waking Up Dead I'm happy to say that's not true at all. Jackson has some really issues she's dealing with through out the book and they're presented in a very graceful way. Jackson doesn't have these issues to force the plot to move along or as story points. The issues, I feel, are what normal, everyday people would experience if the end of the world came about.

The zombies. I love the zombies. The fast, smart, pus filled zombies are so fun. It's a different zombie than we're used to seeing. Yes, zombies are all sort of the same but these zombies are smart. They're learning, evolving and to me it spells the next step in zombie entertainment. Plus, you've got to love the pus.

The ending left the option open for a sequel. I would definitely pick up the sequel to this book. So bring it on!

Overall, Waking Up Dead is an amazing, sometimes gory, fun filled novel about a post-apocalyptic zombie ridden world. Anyone who likes zombies will like this book.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I started reading this book and it immediately hooked me in. I could not put the book down and read it in one day. Yes, this is a zombie book, but it is not the usual zombie book. The main female character, Jackson, is a complete bad a$$ in every sense of the word. She may resemble a tiny little pixie, but she definitely does not act that way. She has been on the run from the zombies and she's trying to stay alive all on her own. She has to prove to these men that want to protect her that she doesn't need any protecting, not with her trusty machete "Mandy" by her side. However, she wants a sense of normalcy that she hasn't had in years and she's not sure if it even exists.

This is a fascinating story and an adrenaline rush from the first page. I had to stop myself from reading ahead to see what happened because it was so intense. The roller coaster ride is one that I really enjoyed and will highly recommend this book to anyone that likes to read a fast paced, different kind of zombie story.

Wow. That was the word that went through my mind with every word that I read. I love all things zombie, and this book did not disappoint. To tell you the truth, I actually kicked myself when I finished reading it, because I was so convinced this was going to be a rip-off of The Walking Dead that I had convinced myself it won't be as good as The Walking Dead before I even started reading it. But boy was I wrong.

Emma Shortt amazes us with her writing style and plot twists. She manages to create a heroine that I am not ashamed to admire. Sure, it's the zombie apocalypse, if you don't learn to kick butt, you die, but she makes Jackson (the heroine) so awesome at kicking zombie butt, it makes the guys in every zombie movie look like a bunch of wimps.

Jackson has been travelling on foot for the past two years, to makes it to what she hopes is a camp of survivors in Texas. She loses her friend Tye along the way, but it's okay, because we are introduced to the lust-worthy, Luke Granger.

These two characters provide enough sexual tension to make any normal person combust, as they journey toward Texas together and when they finally come together, zombies be damned. The characters are fresh and fun, providing a read filled with everything you would expect from a budding romance in the post-apocalyptic world.
Emma Shortt gives the typical zombie a twist. She provides the theory that zombies are becoming more intelligent with each passing day. They are plotting and planning, working in packs and forming hordes, to satisfy their hunger. Something which I am sure will be the topic of many debates to come.

Waking Up Dead was the source of some pretty weird dreams for me the past week, and it gave me chills as I sat reading it. It definitely had me gasping out loud at some pus-filled zombie scenes, but reading Luke's POV when he first sees Jackson, more than makes up for it.

"Jesus Christ it was a woman, her ass outlined in flimsy purple panties, running almost as fast as he, straight into the local rec center."

I'm pretty sure the purple panty revolution will be starting one of these days. Because we wouldn't want to be caught wearing ratty, off-white panties when a bunch of zombies are chasing us, now would we?

All in all, Emma Shortt amazed me, not only with her story, but with her way with words. This book is wonderfully written and kept me in suspense. In fact, I am still in suspense, because I NEED to know what happens next. I'll be waiting patiently for the next book, but until then, from one zombie-freak to the rest of the world, you do not want to miss this!

Amazing Grady

Grady is the most amazing man you will ever meet. Each time I get the opportunity to spend a few minutes with him, he gives me hope and blessings that come straight from his heart. He makes you feel good about living every day and makes you believe in yourself more than anybody I have ever met. Grady has been a godsend to me and everyone on this earth. Thank you Grady for giving your time to write your book and for giving anyone who crosses your path, a better day! I feel grateful to have met you and to know that you are only a phone call away if I ever need that 'boost' when depression can meet up with me. Many hugs and lots of love!!!

A fine autobiography. Not really much about the "NDEs"

The book is really an autobiography. It is a fine autobiography, but I was more interested in reading about NDEs than about drug-fueled events that may or may not have included NDEs. This book has very little about the "NDEs." The author has had an eventful life and has overcome a great deal. The book discusses the events and the triumphant conquering of issues. Just not much on NDE.
