What about country music superstar Clint Crosby -- how does he fit into this case of intrigue? Would whole 'author societies' and 'book reviewing societies' actually be at suspicion for these murders (especially key members of them like O' Leary or Longsworth)? Was the killer only one of female victims or were male victims also involved and were any of them tortured? What in the world would 'show dancers' or 'Lonely Heart's Clubs' have to do with the mystery?
Do these sound like questions that might add suspense or thrill to this well-written murder mystery? If you answered "yes", then you're right because they certainly do. Author - Ken Rossignol has written this very well constructed mystery-thriller, with lots of very well developed characters to keep the reader interested on his/her journey to the story climax! The idea of setting up a story with a serial killer on board a ship is genius and author Ken Rossignol's "Cruise Killer" was a fun mystery read with some diverse and fascinating characters, just as you would find on a real ship. This particular ship has a special guest list of authors, critics and a token country music star on board, which makes the story much more colorful. The main characters, Marsha and Danny, have their work cut out for them in catching a killer and this is akin to a delightful floating game of Clue. A Perfect Crime Thriller Read & A Heck Of A Vacation

THIS BOOK IS AN OLD SCHOOL STYLE DELIGHT.
The main characters are believable and easy to identify with.
The entire event mostly occurs on a cruise ship, the setting proximity and the chain of events are well written and well weaved.
A page turner for sure, author Rossignol keeps the reader up to date and in tune with the bizarre and creepy killers seemingly random quiet murder spree.
Cruise Killer is certain must read, packed with intrigue and interesting characters which sets the reader right into this wild mix.
I enjoyed this one a great deal and recommend it highly to the crime-thriller crowd. A good buy.

My favorite book in the Marsha and Danny Jones Thriller series so far

After just finishing this novel in the Marsha and Danny Jones series, I decided to write a review here shortly after. I’m a current fan of the author already and read Vanishing just a week ago. Now that I’ve finished this one there are definitely aspects of it that I actually like even more than that other outstanding novel. The characters, outside of Danny and Marsha, are even more fleshed out in this book; some being a great indirect means of comic relief amidst a tense atmosphere. Gussy was always enjoyable every time she came onto the page. Even her use of holy water to allay her nerves in the cabin made me laugh at her antics. Also the trajectory of the story was taut, constantly moving forward toward a satisfying ending. This time around our two heroes are definitely finding it difficult to nab the perpetrator as the bodies pile up. Could it be someone in the union, at the poker table, a book reviewer, or one of the Cruise Loons? Each time I thought I had an idea, the story carried me down a different path. That was the best part of the read: Each murder created a new intricacy that made the novel that much more exciting, but at the same time that much harder to discern the final denouement. By the time the story headed toward that fantastic conclusion…well, all I can say is Gussie is one distinct character. I secretly hope that the author might give her a book all her own to wallow in. She would definitely be someone that people would gravitate toward.
In the end, this is another stellar addition to the series that actually happens to be my favorite yet. Now, I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. As usual, I’ll keep you posted!
