Review
"Starkes' concern is very real.  He sees what's happening within the black community and is speaking out to wake other blacks up.  People like Starkes are too often attacked mercilessly for deigning to go against the black establishment." - Dr. Fred DeRuvo, Author, Lecturer, Biblical Scholar
"Mr. Starkes is one of the few very courageous voices willing to tell the truth. We can only hope that his bravery will inspire millions of others to grab the reins and demand an end to the glamorization of the very destructive behavior he describes." - Teri O'Brien, National Conservative Talk Radio Host
"This book is a plea for civility. A plea for authenticity. A plea to recognize a racial problem that is destroying a large chunk of the fabric of America life."- Colin Flaherty, Author - "Don't Make the Black Kids Angry" & "White Girl Bleed A Lot"
"The Un-Civil War is the greatest analysis on the black community in the post civil rights era I have ever read. The glossary of terms is incredible." - Pastor Kevin W. Cosby, President of Simmons College of Kentucky, Senior Pastor of St. Stephen Church

From the Author
Agreeing with the book's politically-incorrect content doesn't mean you're a "racist" or "sell-out"... it means you're a realist!

From the Inside Flap
This book is dedicated to the memory of those innocent souls whose premature demise was NIGGER-inflicted.

Taleeb Starkes' Confronts the Subculture Telling it Like it Is...
By ModRes
I think I first heard of this book via Colin Flaherty ("White Girl Bleed a Lot") and I was skeptical because of the title of the book. Once you begin reading it though, you quickly realize that it's not about calling people names. It's about bringing truth to the fore!

Every race (or culture) has its share of low-lifes. These people exist no matter what. They believe that they are owed something and that everyone else is the problem. We all know people like this. They exist in among whites as well as blacks.

The difference, as Starkes so clearly and cleverly points out, is that the black culture is the only culture he is aware of that caters to the low-lifes within the black community. He refers to them with the "N" word and also as the "subculture" of blacks. They use the system, wear huge chips on their shoulders and believe everything race-baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson tell them. In short, they are given too many excuses to do what they do and say what they say.

The low-lifes within the black community can cry like the best of them. They are successful because the rest of (or at least the majority of) the black community encourages them in their temper tantrums, goes to bat for them, and takes up their racist and hypocritical chants. They're always pointing back to the issue of slavery and because of Critical Race Theory, they believe they themselves cannot be racist and that all whites are racist.

Starkes' writes his book with flair and while he doesn't overdo it, he uses sarcasm and humor at times to drive points home; two things I particular appreciate for myself. He includes a glossary of definitions and 19 questions that people have asked him about why he wrote the book and his choice of verbiage, etc. Starkes also avoids being politically correct (PC) as noted by his use of the "N" word in his title. By the way, he doesn't simply use that word to titillate or evoke anger. He does it for a reason. I'll let you read his book to discover why.

Taleeb Starkes is by no means, a stupid man. He is very intelligent and that intelligence clearly comes across. He is unafraid to call out so-called black leaders who do nothing except keep racial tension roiling. It appears that this is their career path.

Starkes also has a few suggestions for others within the black community who are sick and tired of the subcultural low-lifes getting all the attention and their way as they wreak havoc on society.

I gave this book five stars for content and quality of writing. The layout is a bit off in a few places and I say that only because I'm a real stickler about that, having worked in graphic design for years. That being said, the layout is not a distraction in any way and the content is well worth the read.

I cannot recommend this book enough, frankly. In fact, I think this book deserves a follow-up.

Taleeb, are you listening? Write another one because more has happened even though I realize that you just published this in May of 2013. If you start now, you should have the next one out by the end of this year or beginning of next.

Do us a favor and keep us informed. We need more reasoned voices from black individuals like yourself. There are not enough today. Thank you for going out on a limb to help bring understanding to a very difficult subject.

Great book!
By TXCHIC
I have to admit it was hard to read at times. The use of the "n" word was very profound I was uncomfortable at times but I see why the Mr. Starkes chose to use it. It would not have the same effect and really made you look at what is going on in the Black community and how they are hurting all blacks by their choice in lifestyle. I have at times felt angry with that part of the black community and felt guilty by doing so. My husband and I struggled when we were first married and had our daughter. But taking my child to school and being told she could not get the benefit of preschool because I was not a minority or single mother with 4 kids angered me! I would go to work and some of my co-workers had 4-5 kids all in free day care most of the children with different daddy's but living with their current boyfriend and they would make as much me and my husband but by staying single they were allowed to get all the perks of a single mom would with housing and day care. I see the reverse racism everyday and it anger's me. I'm done with the entitlement mentality of them and I'm tired of working hard for what I get and only to see the hard work is helping them get their air jordans ( I have never owned $200 tennis shoes!) and the use their EBT card to get milk. My neighborhood 17 years ago was a great place to live then section 8 came in and come to find out the single mom who lived next door w 7 kids (yes I did say 7!) had a bigger house and paid $200 a month's! The whole neighborhood is in decline. My house broken into 3 times since the change. We are moving soon I just can not take it anymore it is really sad it's a great house and almost paid for but I can not live here anymore. What Mr Starkes states at the end of the book when asked if their was hope for change and he said only if they want to makes me sad.It is hard to see them change their mentality when they are allowed to pay $200 a month for rent and free daycare why would they want to work for it. I blame the democrat party and political correctness and let's face it whites have been taught not to speak out no one wants to be seen as a racist we are scared to speak out and they know it. This pattern will continue from generation to generation.

Am I ever glad I found this book
By Ken
Am I ever glad I found this book! Finally someone putting to words things I have clearly felt and experienced. Like the author, I too grew up the hard way, made some wrong turns and learned from them. I renounced the NIGGER mentality and distance myself from it. It is a dead end street. It is also time for the BLACK community to stand up against this. Only we can do that. I am sick and tired of anyone excusing anti-social and criminal behavior using the oppressed label. I have experienced white racism but I refuse to allow anyone to draw me down to their level which I see as far below my own. No one can make me inferior. Cutting the cord is not about leaving behind, but I am not going to drag anyone where they so clearly do not want to go and in the process hamper myself. Can't pull your own weight? Get the hell off my team.
